As the Head of Finance for Bangladesh, you will be the strategic financial leader, overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance for our operations in the country. This pivotal role involves driving day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and financial reporting, while ensuring robust internal controls and adherence to local regulatory frameworks.

You will work closely with the Country Head, senior leadership teams, regional finance counterparts, external auditors, and regulatory bodies, providing critical financial insights and guidance to support strategic decision-making and sustainable business growth. Your impact will be instrumental in safeguarding the company's financial health, optimizing resource allocation, and contributing directly to the achievement of our business objectives and market expansion in Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial strategies, aligning them with overall business objectives to drive profitability and market share.

- Oversee all financial planning and analysis activities, including annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and variance analysis, providing actionable insights to senior management.

- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely submission of all financial reports, statements, and disclosures in compliance with local accounting standards (BAS/BFRS) and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

- Manage all aspects of taxation, including planning, compliance, and optimization strategies, to ensure adherence to Bangladeshi tax laws and minimize financial risk.

- Direct internal and external audit processes, implementing robust internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.

- Optimize cash flow and treasury management, including working capital management, foreign exchange exposure, and banking relationships, to ensure liquidity and financial stability.

- Provide strategic financial counsel to the Country Head and leadership team on investment decisions, business development initiatives, and risk management.

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.

- Engage effectively with key stakeholders, including investors, board members, and regulatory authorities, presenting financial performance and strategic outlooks with clarity and confidence.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in Finance and Accounts, Corporate Finance, Budgeting, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Audit, and Strategic Finance, with a proven track record of 10-18 years in progressively senior finance roles.

- Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities, coupled with strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels.
