Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on finance professional to join as Head of Finance, reporting directly to the Group CFO.

The role requires a strong leader with deep expertise in accounting, asset inventory management, taxation, financial controls, project finance management, and unit cost optimization, particularly within infrastructure or project-driven businesses.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a dynamic and evolving environment, possess the ability to work under ambiguity, and demonstrate a strong execution-oriented mindset with the willingness to roll up sleeves and drive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Controls

- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting

- Establish and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes

- Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements

- Develop strong SOP-driven process approaches

- Demonstrate capability to work effectively in an ERP-driven environment

Taxation & Compliance

- Manage direct and indirect taxation matters including GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances across group companies

- Liaise with auditors, consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities

- Ensure timely closure of audits and statutory filings

Project & Infrastructure Finance

- Monitor financial performance of large-scale infrastructure and engineering projects

- Drive project profitability analysis and cost optimization initiatives

- Work closely with operations and project teams to ensure financial discipline across projects

Cost Management

- Lead unit cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost rationalization

- Build financial dashboards and MIS frameworks for management decision-making

Strategic & Operational Support

- Support the Group CFO in strategic financial planning and business decision-making

- Participate in process automation and digitization initiatives within finance

- Mentor and lead finance team members to build a high-performance finance function

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory

- MBA in Finance and/or Company Secretary (CS) qualification will be an added advantage

Experience

- Approximately 15 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts

- Prior experience in infrastructure, EPC, engineering, manufacturing, or project-driven organizations is preferred

- Exposure to handling large-scale projects and complex financial environments

Skills & Competencies

- Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, budgeting, and financial controls

- Expertise in unit cost management and project profitability analysis

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

- Ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous business environments

- Hands-on approach with high ownership and execution orientation

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Experience in ERP systems, automation initiatives, and MIS reporting preferred
