About the company:
The company is a Series B Funded start-up which operates in the digital healthcare sector.
Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
1. Define and drive the overall financial strategy aligned with the company's growth and fundraising roadmap
2. Partner with the CEO and leadership team to shape business strategy through financial insights
3. Control and evaluate the organization's fundraising plans, capital structure, and runway management
4. Analyse and present financial reports and forecasts to the Board of Directors on a periodic basis.
Investor Relations:
1. Own and manage investor relations build trust through proactive, transparent financial communication
2. Lead preparation of investor decks, board packs, MIS reports, and due diligence documentation
3. Work closely with existing investors and lead financial preparation for future fundraising rounds
4. Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
1. Coordinate with the FP&A team and data analysts to drive financial planning, forecasting, and scenario modelling
2. Track company performance against forecasts; collaborate with HODs to identify and overcome risks
3. Lead budgeting, cash flow management, and financial risk assessment.
Controllership & Compliance:
1. Manage client billing ensuring accurate and timely billing with a focus on reducing corrections, credit notes, and customer queries
2. Manage the payables function ensuring timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices
3. Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
4. Oversee all audit and internal control operations
5. Oversee the Legal, Secretarial, and Compliance functions of the organization
6. Working knowledge of acquisitions and consolidation of financials.
Team Leadership:
1. Build, lead, and mentor a world-class finance team across controllership, FP&A, taxation, legal, and compliance
2. Foster a high-ownership, high-performance culture within the finance function
3. Set KPIs for the team and drive accountability against outcomes.
Requirements:
Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience:
1. Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10+ years of experience.
2. Minimum 3-5 years in a Finance Head / CFO / VP Finance role with full ownership of the finance function
3. Proven experience in a Series C funded start-up or Pre/Post-IPO company environment mandatory
4. Strong background in fast-growing start-up environments with a demonstrated culture of high ownership and accountability
5. Demonstrated experience in investor relations managing existing investors and supporting new fundraising rounds
6. Deep expertise in business finance unit economics, SaaS/health-tech metrics, revenue modelling, and growth KPIs
7. In-depth knowledge of finance controls, corporate finance, accounting principles, laws, and best practices
8. Proven team leadership skills experience building and scaling finance teams of 5+ people
9. Working knowledge of acquisitions, mergers, and consolidation of financials
10. Strong leadership acumen with a strategic mindset and board-level communication skills
11. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into decisions
12. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
