Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Finance & Business Planning

- Define and drive long-term financial strategy aligned with WazirXs business objectives and market opportunity in crypto, VDA, and Web3

- Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on business planning, capital allocation, and strategic initiatives

- Lead fundraising activities, investor relations, and board-level financial communication

- Build and own robust financial models, forecasts, KPIs, and scenario analyses suited for a volatile and fast-evolving market

- Act as a financial advisor on critical business decisions, ensuring risk-aware and data-driven outcomes

Financial Planning, Operations & Controls

- Own end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, audits, tax planning, and statutory compliance

- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements across entities

- Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial discipline as the company scales

- Drive automation and process optimization across finance systems, tools, and workflows

- Lead treasury operations, cash flow planning, working capital management, and cost optimization initiatives

Regulatory Compliance, Controllership & Risk Management

- Ensure adherence to evolving financial and regulatory requirements across India and other jurisdictions as applicable

- Serve as the primary financial interface with regulators, auditors, tax advisors, banks, and external stakeholders

- Proactively design and implement risk management frameworks, including crypto-specific financial policies and controls

- Anticipate regulatory changes and assess their financial and operational impact on the business

Revenue, Pricing & Unit Economics

- Own and continuously refine revenue models to ensure scalability, sustainability, and profitability

- Guide pricing strategy aligned with market dynamics, customer behavior, and regulatory considerations

- Maintain strong visibility into unit economics, margins, and cost drivers to support informed growth decisions

Leadership & Team Building

- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team across FP&A, accounting, compliance, and treasury

- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- Enable the finance function to move fast while maintaining high standards of governance and control

- Act as a role model for leadership through ambiguity, change, and scale

What You Bring:

- 14-18 years of progressive finance leadership experience, with significant exposure to high-growth or startup environments

- Strong background in Fintech, BFSI, NBFC, or other regulated industries, with hands-on regulatory engagement

- Deep expertise in corporate finance, accounting standards, compliance, risk management, and financial strategy

- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity with clarity, confidence, and execution rigor

- Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial modeling skills

- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA (Finance) are strongly preferred
