Head of Finance - CA - Manufacturing/Consumer Durables
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Finance & Business Leadership : - Partner with senior leadership to define and execute the organization's financial strategy.
- Drive long-term business planning, profitability improvement, and growth initiatives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate business expansion opportunities, investments, and capital expenditure proposals.
- Support leadership with scenario planning, business forecasting, and risk assessment.
Financial Planning & Analysis : - Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and business objectives.
- Develop robust MIS and management reporting frameworks.
- Analyze revenue, profitability, margins, and operational performance metrics.
- Present actionable financial insights to management and stakeholders.
Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control : - Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Monitor plant performance, production efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive cost reduction programs across procurement, production, logistics, and operations.
- Ensure accurate standard costing and variance analysis.
- Improve working capital efficiency through inventory and cash flow optimization.
Financial Controllership & Reporting : - Lead financial accounting, book closure, and statutory reporting activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Establish strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and compliance processes.
- Manage financial consolidations across business units and entities where applicable.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance : - Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, regulatory frameworks, and industry-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with tax consultants, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Manage assessments, audits, notices, and compliance reviews.
Treasury & Working Capital Management : - Manage treasury operations, banking relationships, and funding requirements.
- Optimize cash flow, liquidity planning, and working capital cycles.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory management to improve cash conversion.
- Evaluate financing options and support debt management initiatives.
Audit & Governance : - Lead statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants to ensure timely completion of audits.
- Strengthen internal control mechanisms and risk management practices.
- Ensure audit readiness and timely closure of audit observations.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management : - Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, sales, supply chain, HR, and leadership teams.
- Serve as a key finance business partner across the organization.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications : - Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory.
- 10-15 years of finance leadership experience in manufacturing or consumer-facing industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance.
- Proven experience in manufacturing finance, costing, inventory management, and plant finance.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning.
- Experience managing audits, banking relationships, and treasury operations.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in Consumer Durables, Electrical Appliances, Electronics, FMCG, or Industrial Manufacturing sectors.
- Exposure to multi-location manufacturing operations.
- Experience in fundraising, business expansion, or strategic finance initiatives.
- MBA (Finance) will be an added advantage.
