Job Title: Head - Finance
About The Client:
Our Client is a rapidly scaling liquid logistics platform backed by seasoned infrastructure entrepreneurs and a leading US private equity investor. The business is entering a high-growth phase, with plans to become a top 3 player nationally and expand capacity significantly over the next 3-5 years.
The company is currently acquiring a - 200 crore revenue business (scaling to ~- 300 crore over the next two years) and is seeking a strong finance leader to drive financial ownership, discipline, and integration.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Governance:
- Lead end-to-end accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, inventory, FA, monthly & annual close).
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Standardize processes and drive automation where required
Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
- Own liquidity planning and rolling cash forecasts.
- Optimize working capital in an asset-intensive logistics model.
- Drive discipline around receivables, payables, and capital allocation.
- Manage banking relationships and funding requirements.
Capital Budgeting & Expansion Oversight:
- Build and monitor budgets for ~- 300 crore expansion capex.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure on-time, within-budget execution.
- Oversee project accounting, tax structuring, and compliance.
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering:
- Advise leadership on pricing, margins, capex decisions, and growth initiatives.
- Build robust budgeting, forecasting, and MIS frameworks.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis for decision-making.
- Translate operational metrics into actionable financial insights.
Compliance & Risk Oversight:
- Ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax, audits).
- Oversee statutory, tax, and internal audits.
- Build strong documentation and compliance discipline.
Post-Acquisition Integration:
- Align systems and reporting with group governance standards.
- Identify integration risks and control gaps early.
- Build dashboards for group-level visibility.
- Lead and mentor the on-ground finance team.
Education:
- Chartered Accountant
Experience & Skills:
- 10-15 years of progressive finance experience.
- Experience in logistics, infrastructure, manufacturing, or asset-heavy businesses preferred.
- Strong grounding in accounting, controls, and compliance.
- Proven experience in cash flow management and banking relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence business decisions.
- Comfortable operating independently in high-accountability environments.
