Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic Finance Head to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal discipline across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of financial leadership along with proven experience in managing complex operations, compliance, risk management, and business partnering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of robust financial strategies to support business growth and long-term value creation.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles in alignment with business goals and operational realities.
- Monitor and manage cost structures, optimize margins, and lead profitability improvement initiatives across plants, products, and regions.
- Oversee working capital management, ensuring tight control over receivables, payables, and inventory to enhance cash flows.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Ind AS/IFRS reporting standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal, statutory, and tax auditors; ensure timely and transparent communication and resolution of audit queries.
- Manage audits (statutory, internal, and tax), and maintain transparent and accurate financial reporting.
- Establish strong banking relationships and manage funding requirements, credit limits, and treasury operations.
- Champion ERP and digital transformation within the finance function, ensuring accurate, timely, and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with business units (sales, operations, supply chain, procurement) to provide strategic financial insight and support.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Identify financial risks and implement risk management frameworks, internal controls, and compliance protocols.
- Support strategic initiatives including plant expansion, CAPEX evaluation, and market development.
Key Skills & Exposure:
- Proven leadership in managing end-to-end finance functions within a manufacturing and corporate environment.
- Strong grasp of financial controls, accounting standards, tax laws, and audit processes.
- Deep understanding of cost optimization in production, logistics, and dealer-based distribution models.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business heads and influence strategic decisions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial acumen with hands-on exposure to pricing models, profitability analysis, and market expansion financials.
- Experience in leading digital finance initiatives and driving process automation.
Qualification & Experience:
Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- MBA in Finance may be considered with relevant exposure
Experience:
- 13 to 22 years of progressive finance experience
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within the building materials, cement, paint, or related manufacturing industry
- Exposure to high-growth environments, multi-location operations, and distributor-driven sales models is essential
