Head - Finance & Compliance - Education University - CA

We are partnering with a globally reputed university to hire a Head of Finance & Compliance for its India operations. This is a senior leadership mandate reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, offering a unique opportunity to play a foundational role in building and scaling the institution's India presence.

The role will lead end-to-end finance, including financial planning, reporting, treasury, governance, and regulatory compliance. It will be instrumental in setting up robust financial systems, ensuring alignment with global governance standards, and navigating the Indian regulatory landscape during a high-growth, startup phase.

As a key member of the leadership team, the individual will provide strategic financial insights, engage with regulators and auditors, oversee finance and procurement teams, and support critical decision-making at both the India campus and global university level.

Key Requirements:

- CA with 10+ years of senior finance leadership experience

- Strong expertise in compliance, including transfer pricing, related party transactions, and regulatory frameworks

- Experience operating in high-growth or startup environments, with the ability to build and scale finance functions

- Exposure to international or cross-border business environments

- Prior experience in the education/university sector is preferred

- Familiarity with enterprise finance systems (e.g., Accounting System 360 or similar)

- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership and boards
