Head - Finance & Accounts - EPC Business - CA

Role: Head-F&A

Reporting to CFO

Key KPI:

Strategic Financial Management:

- Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with operational and long-term business goals.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.

- Analyze business performance and provide actionable insights to support executive decision-making.

Accounting & Reporting:

- Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations in compliance with statutory and internal policies.

- Ensure timely preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and board packs.

- Manage internal and statutory audits, ensuring closure of audit observations.

Cost Control & Project Accounting:

- Strengthen and oversee project accounting systems for shipbuilding and repair projects.

- Monitor project-level budgets, estimates, and actuals; analyze deviations and initiate corrective measures.

- Support pricing, bidding, and cost estimation processes for contracts.

- Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives across operations.

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax laws, regulatory norms, and corporate governance requirements.

- Develop and enforce internal controls and risk management protocols.

- Coordinate with legal, regulatory, and tax authorities as required.

- Drive policy advocacy and ensure alignment with Defense procurement guidelines and SEZ regulations (SEZ compliance knowledge is a plus).

Treasury & Working Capital Management:

- Manage working capital efficiently, optimizing receivables, inventory, and payables.

- Oversee treasury operations, including cash flow planning and bank relations.

- Evaluate and secure appropriate funding and non-fund-based facilities (e.g., BGs, LCs) for projects and capital needs.

Team Leadership:

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounts team.

- Foster a culture of accountability, process improvement, and financial discipline.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA), preferably with additional management or finance certifications.

- Hands-on experience in project finance, costing, and end-to-end financial operations.
