Head of Finance and Accounts
Job Description
To lead and manage the overall financial strategy, accounting operations, compliance, and fiscal management of the NBFC. The role requires a strategic Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong experience in financial planning, regulatory reporting, treasury management, and overall control of the organization's financial health.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and business growth.
- Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in line with Ind AS and IGAAP.
- Ensure full compliance with RBI guidelines, statutory audits, and other NBFC regulatory requirements.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance including TDS, GST, and transfer pricing.
- Manage liquidity, working capital, debt raising, and banking relationships to optimize capital efficiency.
- Establish strong internal control frameworks and proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and concurrent auditors to ensure timely completion and resolution of audit matters.
- Liaise with regulators, auditors, investors, and senior leadership to maintain financial transparency and credibility.
- Lead enterprise-wide finance digitization by implementing Treasury Management Solution, Expense & P2P Automation and Budgeting System Automation streamline reporting, enable real-time profitability analytics, and enhance strategic financial visibility.
- Spearhead treasury operations for over a decade, orchestrating multi-channel fund-raising initiatives and managing borrowings to optimize capital structure and cost of funds.
- Collaborate with financial partners across PSU banks, private banks, foreign banks, NBFCs, and HFCs to strengthen liquidity and diversify financial risk.
- Pioneer automation of Treasury Management, Expense Management, P2P processes, and branch and segment-wise profitability analytics by designing and implementing robust systems for granular segment and region-level financial reporting.
Candidate Details:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.
- Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in NBFCs / Financial Services / Banking sector.
- Proven track record in financial planning, accounting, and compliance management.
- In-depth understanding of RBI regulations, Ind AS, and corporate finance practices.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
