Head - Finance & Accounts - CA

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic finance leader to head the Finance & Accounts function for our Gems & Jewellery business. The role will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial operations, statutory compliance, inventory valuation, costing, and providing financial leadership to support business growth and profitability.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee the entire Finance & Accounts function of the organization

- Oversee accounting, finalization of accounts, and preparation of financial statements

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, MIS, budgeting, and forecasting

- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements (Direct & Indirect Taxation)

- Liaise with auditors, bankers, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies

- Manage costing, margin analysis, and pricing support for jewellery operations

- Manage cash flow, working capital, fund utilization, and cost optimization

- Provide strategic financial analysis and decision support to management

- Establish robust internal controls, risk management, and governance frameworks

- Implement and strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and risk management systems

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance

- Support business expansion, compliance, and process improvements

Desired Profile of the Candidate

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 15-20 years of relevant experience

- Prior experience in a leadership role heading Finance & Accounts

- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, compliance, and financial controls

- Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

- Experience working in fast-paced, multi-functional environments

- High level of integrity, ownership, and business orientation
