Head - Finance

We are Urgently Hiring for Head of accounts for a leading law firm

location : Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the firm's vision and growth plans.

- Provide financial insights to support decision-making by partners and practice heads.

Financial Operations & Compliance:

- Oversee accounting, audits, tax filings, and compliance with Ind-AS, Companies Act, GST, and Income Tax Act.

- Ensure robust internal controls and risk management practices.

Cash Flow & Revenue Management

- Manage billing, recoveries, and working capital to maintain healthy cash flow.

- Optimize fee structures and support client negotiations when required.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Present financial reports and performance metrics to partners and senior leadership.

- Liaise with auditors, banks, regulators, and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership

- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

- Implement financial systems and technology to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.

- 7 -10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Prior experience in professional services (law firm, consulting, Big 4, etc.) preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Indian corporate, tax, and regulatory frameworks.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
