About the Company:
The Company is a listed upmarket hotel chain known for its luxury and exceptional guest experiences.
With a strong public presence in the hospitality sector, they are seeking a strategic financial leader who can drive financial growth, manage mergers and acquisitions, manage all financial and regulatory aspects of a public limited company, raise funds effectively, and maintain commitment to delivering unparalleled service and luxury to guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the financial strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes.
- Assess the financial performance of individual hotels within the chain and identify opportunities for improvement.
Public Company Financial Management & M&A Activities:
- Oversee and ensure strict compliance with all SEBI regulations, Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) for the company as a listed entity.
- Manage ongoing Investor Relations (IR) and quarterly earnings reporting processes, effectively communicating performance to current investors, analysts, and market stakeholders.
- Oversee all aspects of M&A activities, including due diligence, negotiations, and integration of acquired properties or businesses.
- Evaluate potential acquisition targets and provide recommendations to the executive team.
Fundraising:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies, to support the growth and expansion of the hotel chain.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders to secure funding for strategic initiatives.
Financial Reporting and Compliances:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including quarterly and annual financial statements, maintaining compliance with Ind AS.
- Maintain adherence to Indian securities laws and stock exchange regulations, ensuring transparency and accountability to all public shareholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Create a strong internal controls environment.
Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to finance professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the finance department.
Strategic Financial Partnerships:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external financial partners, including banks, investors, and financial institutions.
Qualifications/Experience:
- CA/ Top-Tier MBA graduate.
- 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
- Significant experience in hospitality sector as Finance Head or in a senior finance leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing M&A transactions and leading finance for an Indian public listed company.
- Fund-raising experience from banks, PE firms, public markets.
- In-depth, current knowledge of SEBI regulations, Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR), Ind AS/IFRS, and mandatory compliance for publicly listed entities in India.
- Strong financial and business acumen with a track record of driving financial growth and profitability.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
