Backed by leading climate funds and validated by independent scientific ratings, the group deploys high-quality carbon removal at scale through a combination of local operations, last-mile distribution, and our proprietary digital MRV and logistics platform.
Mission: Scale ERW to remove 100 million tonnes of CO_2 and reach 100 million smallholder farmers.
Sector: Environmental Services, Climate-Tech, Carbon Removal (CDR).
Core Technology: Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) applying basalt dust to agricultural land to accelerate natural CO_2 absorption and improve soil.
Key Operations: India (Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, expanding to 3 more states), Zambia (Mukuni Trust), Tanzania.
Role Overview:
The Finance Lead will serve as the group's Finance Controller for India operations, responsible for financial governance, reporting, audits, compliance, cost optimization, and strategic financial planning.
This leader will own day-to-day finance operations, implement strong controls, manage
multi-entity books, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The role requires someone who can move seamlessly between monthly closes, vendor reconciliations, audits, financial modeling, grant reporting, and strategic budgeting. You will establish the systems and discipline required for the group's next phase of growth - building a finance function that is robust, compliant, investor-ready, and deeply aligned with our operational and scientific workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Control G Reporting
- Lead end-to-end accounting and monthly/annual closes.
- Produce timely MIS, financial statements, and investor-ready dashboards.
- Ensure accurate multi-entity books aligned with global consolidation.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting G Cost Discipline
- Own annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Track cost drivers across operations; improve cost-per-ton and spend efficiency.
- Partner with Ops, Supply Chain, and Science on deployment and state-level budgeting.
3. Compliance, Audits G Governance
- Manage statutory, internal, and grant/donor audits.
- Oversee GST, TDS, ROC filings, FEMA compliance, and multi-state regulatory needs.
- Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and policy adherence.
4. AP/AR, Treasury G Cash Flow
- Run AP/AR cycles, reconciliations, vendor payments, and receivables.
5. Forecast cash flows and manage working capital efficiently.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 7-15 yrs in finance, with strong experience as a controller or senior finance lead.
- Track record in fast-growth, operations-heavy environments: agri, supply chain, FMCG, manufacturing, climate-tech, or startups.
- Strong audit, compliance, and multi-entity accounting exposure.
- Experience supporting strategy, modelling, or business partnering is a clear plus.
