To support this growth, the organization is seeking a senior leader to head faculty recruitment across its higher education institutions.
About the Role:
The Head Faculty Recruitment will lead end-to-end academic hiring across medical, allied health, engineering, management, and healthcare skilling programs. The role is responsible for strategic workforce planning, faculty sourcing, compliance-driven recruitment, and timely onboarding, ensuring alignment with regulatory bodies and academic calendars.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role requiring deep expertise in academic recruitment, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver results in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Workforce Planning:
- Partner with Vice Chancellors, Deans, and Heads of Departments to forecast faculty requirements
- Align hiring plans with student intake, academic calendars, and accreditation norms (NMC, UGC, AICTE, INC)
Faculty Talent Acquisition:
- Lead recruitment for Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Lecturers
- Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-campus faculty hiring
- Drive international faculty hiring for select global programs
- Build sustainable faculty pipelines through academic networks and professional bodies
Recruitment Process & Compliance:
- Design and manage structured recruitment processes including screening, interviews, and credential verification
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and institutional guidelines
- Oversee onboarding and documentation in line with accreditation requirements
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary interface between academic leadership, HR, and compliance/immigration teams
- Manage competing priorities and ensure timely hiring aligned with program launch schedules
Reporting & Governance:
- Track recruitment progress, turnaround time, and pipeline health
- Present hiring updates, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of faculty recruitment in regulated higher education environments
- Experience hiring across Medical, Allied Health, Engineering, and Management disciplines
- Excellent academic sourcing, networking, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven academic ecosystem
- Proficiency in HR systems, recruitment tools, and reporting dashboards
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in HR, Education Management, or a related discipline
- 8 to 15 years of experience in faculty recruitment or academic HR
- Experience in multi-disciplinary or multi-campus institutions preferred
- Exposure to medical or healthcare education recruitment is a strong advantage
