Department: Energetics Manufacturing (Explosives, Propellants & Pyrotechnics)

Location: Andhra Pradesh

Speaking Telugu and Kannada will be advantage and preferred

Qualification:

- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Explosives Engineering /Industrial Engineering

- An MBA in Industrial Engineering is preferred

- Preference for candidate with certification in explosives Handling, Safety, or Defence Production (DRDO/PESO/Ordnance background desirable)

Experience:

- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in commercial or defence Energetics / Explosives / Propellants / Chemicals / Petrochemicals

- Must have hands-on exposure to process design, safety protocols, and statutory compliances under Explosives Rules, PESO etc.

- Candidates with experience handling MoD regulations are preferred

- Prior experience in Ordnance Factory, DRDO, or defence manufacturing units will be highly preferred.

Job Purpose & Role:

- To lead the establishment, operationalization, and management of the Energetics Manufacturing Division, covering explosives, propellants, and filling operations for ammunition, missiles, and space systems.

- The role involves strategic planning, process implementation, safety compliance, and team leadership to ensure reliable and safe production of energetic materials in line with defence standards.

Key Deliverables & Technical skills required:

Key Deliverables:

- Commissioned and operational energetics plant within defined timelines

- Validate and stable process lines for propellant/explosive manufacturing

- Full compliance with PESO, MoD and internal safety standards

- Achieving target yields, safety KPIs, and zero accident record

Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of explosive chemistry, propellant formulations, and filling operations

- Process design, safety analysis, and plant commissioning

- Familiarity with explosive handling, testing, and storage protocols

- Understanding of defence manufacturing standards (JSS/MIL specs)

- Exposure to quality systems (ISO, OHSAS) and documentation
