Position: Head - Costing & MIS

Location: Tarapur Maharashtra

Experience & Education: 15+ Years Qualification: CA / ICWA

Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Costing & MIS professional with 15+ years of experience in the steel industry. The role will be responsible for driving cost optimization, financial analysis, and MIS reporting, with strong exposure to SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Analysis:

2. Lead product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis for steel manufacturing operations

3. Analyse raw material, conversion, and overhead costs to identify cost-saving opportunities

4. Monitor cost trends, yield, and wastage in plant operations

5. MIS & Reporting:

6. Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and management reviews

7. Track budget vs actuals, profitability analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

8. Support leadership with data-driven insights for strategic decision-making

9. Plant Finance & Controls:

10. Work closely with plant teams to ensure accurate cost capture and control mechanisms

11. Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and compliance frameworks

12. Drive inventory valuation and reconciliation processes

13. SAP & Systems:

14. Utilize SAP (CO/FI modules) for costing, reporting, and data analysis

15. Ensure data accuracy, system controls, and process improvements in SAP

16. Partner with IT for automation and MIS enhancements

17. Budgeting & Forecasting:

18. Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and cost planning

19. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity studies for business planning

20. Key Skills & Competencies:

21. Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing costing processes

22. Expertise in MIS, financial analysis, and budgeting

23. Hands-on experience in SAP (CO/FI modules)

24. Leadership ability to manage teams and cross-functional stakeholders
