
Role Overview:
The role will be responsible for driving budgeting, costing and pricing strategy across the Diamond and Jewellery divisions, covering the complete value chain from rough procurement to finished jewellery sales. The position will focus on cost visibility, inventory valuation, profitability improvement, pricing frameworks and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost accounting frameworks, across Diamond & Jewellery divisions.
- Conduct product-wise, size-wise, and quality-wise costing.
- Analyse profitability by product, customer segment, and geography.
- Monitor actual vs. standard cost and drive corrective actions.
- Analyse rough cost, manufacturing cost, metal, labour, yield loss, and overheads.
- Analyse manufacturing yield and recovery ratios.
- Ensure accurate valuation of rough diamonds, WIP, polished inventory, and finished jewellery.
- Prepare manufacturing cost budgets and forecasts.
- Develop scientific pricing models and monitor margins.
- Support financial reporting, MIS and management dashboards.
- Drive cost optimization, process improvement, and automation.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Sales and Finance teams.
Required Skillset:
- CA / ICWA or equivalent qualification.
- 815 years of experience in Cost Accounting / Financial Control.
- Experience in Diamond, Jewellery or Manufacturing industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing and inventory valuation.
- Expertise in yield analysis and profitability analysis.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Understanding of diamond manufacturing processes.
- Experience with SAP / ERP systems and Cost MIS reporting.
- Strong ability to drive cost optimization initiatives
