Head - Corporate Social Responsibility

Location: Aurangabad/Pune

Organisation: A Major Auto component Manufacturing Company (Listed on NSE & BSE) (Turnover: - 12,000+ Cr | Employee Strength: 6000+ (on rolls)

Reporting to: MD

Role Overview:

The Head - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) will be responsible for designing, leading, and executing the company's CSR strategy aligned with business values, ESG priorities, and statutory compliance under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs CSR guidelines. The role will work closely with the Director/Promoter and senior leadership to build sustainable, high-impact community initiatives across key focus areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. CSR Strategy & Governance:

- Develop and implement long-term CSR strategy aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013

- Lead annual CSR budgeting and utilization planning

- Present CSR roadmap and impact reports to Board/CSR Committee

- Ensure statutory compliance, documentation, and reporting

2. Program Development & Execution:

Design flagship initiatives in:

- Education & Skill Development

- Healthcare & Sanitation

- Environment & Sustainability

- Community & Rural Development

- Identify and onboard credible NGO partners and implementation agencies

- Monitor project implementation and impact measurement

3. ESG & Sustainability Alignment:

- Integrate CSR with ESG and sustainability goals

- Support BRSR reporting and sustainability disclosures

- Align initiatives with global frameworks (SDGs)

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

Liaise with:

- Government authorities

- Local community leaders

- NGOs & Foundations

- Internal plant leadership across locations

- Build strong community relations in manufacturing plant regions

5. Impact Measurement & Reporting:

- Establish KPIs and measurable outcomes

- Prepare impact assessment reports

- Lead third-party audits and impact studies

6. Brand & Corporate Communication:

- Position CSR initiatives as strategic brand assets

- Collaborate with Corporate Communications for PR and media coverage

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 18-25+ years of experience in CSR / ESG / Sustainability

- Preferably from large manufacturing / automotive / infrastructure sectors

- Strong understanding of CSR legal framework in India

- Experience handling - 20-50+ Cr CSR budgets

- Strong stakeholder management & Board-level presentation skills

- Exposure to multi-location operations.
