The role will lead contract strategy and execution for large-scale renewable energy projects. The position will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and managing project contracts across EPC, supply, construction, and services-ensuring contractual compliance, performance monitoring, and project risk protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract strategy for bids, proposals, and tenders (EPC, BoP, OEM, PPA, land acquisition, O&M).
- Draft, review, and negotiate EPC, supply, construction, subcontracting, consultancy, and service contracts.
- Manage contract administration throughout the project lifecycle including change orders, variation claims, extension of time, risk notices and other contractual obligations.
- Manage back-to-back obligations with subcontractors to ensure protection of project interests.
- Monitor contractor and vendor performance against contractual KPIs and enforce compliance.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and regulatory norms relating to renewable projects including CEA, MNRE, DISCOM guidelines, grid regulations and safety standards.
- Support risk identification and mitigation across contractual, commercial and legal aspects of the project.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, or Commerce
- MBA in Operations, Contracts or Finance preferred
Preferred Domain Exposure
- EPC or renewable contracting (solar, wind, transmission, hydro, hybrid storage)
- Project contracting in infrastructure, power, utility or energy sector
- Experience with government policies, tendering, statutory compliance and regulatory frameworks
