Head - Cluster Finance - EPC Industry

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned finance leader to head the India Cluster Finance function, based in Chennai. The role will be responsible for providing strategic and operational financial leadership for the India business, driving business performance, ensuring governance, and partnering with senior management to deliver growth in line with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end finance function for the India cluster, covering financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and controllership.

- Partner with the business leadership team to drive profitability, optimize working capital, and ensure effective cost management.

- Manage statutory compliance, audits, tax planning, and risk management in alignment with Indian regulations and corporate policies.

- Provide strategic financial insights to support bidding, project financing, and contract negotiations for large EPC projects.

- Implement strong internal controls, ICFR, and governance processes across the cluster.

- Drive digital finance initiatives and automation for process efficiency and reporting accuracy.

- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, building capabilities for long-term growth.

Candidate Profile:

- Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance with 15-20 years of experience.

- Mandatory experience in the EPC industry (engineering, procurement, construction) managing large-scale, capital-intensive businesses.

- Strong expertise in project finance, treasury, credit rating processes, and compliance in India.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
