
- Lead the transformation of the Design function from a project-support role into a strategic engineering capability driving product excellence, operational scalability, and customer confidence.
- Lead engineering and design activities across: - Automated Car Parking Systems (APS), Tower Parking Systems, Puzzle Parking Systems, Stack Parking Systems, Automated Storage & Retrieval Interfaces, Special / Customized Parking Solutions
- Lead the engineering transformation of Car Parking Systems business, strengthen integration between Design, Production, Projects, SCM, Installation, and Service
- Ensure timely release of 3D models, GA drawings, Structural drawings, BOMs, Fabrication and machining drawings
- Institutionalize Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) principles and ensure designs are Manufacturable, Installation-friendly, Cost-effective & Scalable
- Lead product improvement initiatives focused on Structural optimisation, Space utilization, Reliability, Installation efficiency, Cycle time improvement
- Strengthen engineering capability in GD&T, DFMEA, Validation methodologies, VAVE, Mechanism optimisation
- Drive robust management of ECR, ECN, NCR, CAPA
- Ensure proper Cross-Functional Execution Integration
- Strengthen engineering involvement in Site validation, Installation readiness, Tolerance management, Erection feasibility
- Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives across APS products by optimizing BOM structures, Material selection, Structural weight and Manufacturing complexity.
- Ensure strong engineering documentation and engineering systems.
- Ensure good leadership and capability building across teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
- B. Tech /M. Tech - Mechanical /Design Engineering with experience in Lifts & Elevators domain
- Experience in Parking Automation design - Tower Parking, Stack Parking, Puzzle Parking
- Experience - 15+ years with a minimum of 8+ years in a leadership role
- Proven engineering leader with strong experience in:
A. Automated parking systems
B. Industrial automation
C. Heavy engineering ETO / MTO environments - Lifts or Elevators
- Strong expertise in Structural and mechanical design, Product engineering, Manufacturing integration, Design governance, Engineering transformation
- Should have good experience in building scalable engineering systems, cross-functional execution, driving industrial discipline and process orientation
- Ready to work out of Coimbatore Location
