Description:
AP Leadership & Operations:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable function across India and international entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Build scalable AP processes to support rapid business growth and multi-country operations.
- Establish SLAs and KPIs for AP operations and drive continuous improvement.
Global & Foreign Currency Transactions:
- Manage foreign currency transactions, cross-border payments, and forex compliance.
- Oversee international vendor payments, including withholding taxes and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with treasury to optimize payment cycles and currency exposure.
Controls, Compliance & Governance:
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to SOX-like controls and listed-company governance standards.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, FEMA, and other statutory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and audit readiness.
- Drive policy creation and enforcement for procurement-to-pay processes.
Automation & Process Excellence:
- Lead AP automation initiatives (ERP, OCR, workflow tools).
- Drive digitization and continuous process improvement.
- Implement best-in-class Procure-to-Pay (P2P) practices.
Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with Procurement, Legal, Treasury, and Business teams.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and resolve escalations.
- Provide leadership reporting and insights to senior management.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing AP team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable / P2P / Finance Operations.
- Experience in listed companies or IPO-ready organizations preferred.
- Strong experience in import transactions and international vendor payments.
- Hands-on exposure to foreign currency accounting and multi-country operations.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite or similar).
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, compliance, and controls.
- Expertise in GST, TDS, FEMA, and international payment regulations.
- Process automation and transformation mindset.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
