Accounts Head
Role Overview:
- The Accounts Head is a senior executive leadership role requiring a CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification with minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Based in New Delhi, the incumbent must have proven experience in a managerial position, handling the entire Accounts & Finance Department.
- Experience in a Listed or Private Limited Company is mandatory, with the scope covering multi-entity financial management, comprehensive regulatory compliance (GST, SEBI, Company Law), and external stakeholder communication.
Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly qualified and proactive CA with 8+ years of post-qualification experience to lead the Accounts and Finance Department.
- The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, mandatory experience with Listed or Private Limited entities, and an in-depth understanding of complex regulatory frameworks including Audit, Taxation, GST, SEBI, and Company Law.
- Key responsibilities include overseeing all financial reporting, banking operations, handling compliance across multiple entity types, and preparing executive-level documentation.
Key Responsibilities and Financial Leadership Deliverables
Financial Management & Leadership:
- Must have worked in a managerial position, handling the entire Accounts & Finance Department, demonstrating leadership, strategic oversight, and team mentoring capabilities.
- Provide leadership and oversight for all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
Audit, Taxation, and Statutory Compliance:
- Utilize Strong knowledge of Audit, Taxation, GST (Goods and Services Tax) regulations, and direct/indirect tax compliance.
- Maintain an In-depth understanding of Company Law, MCA procedures (Ministry of Corporate Affairs), and secretarial compliance.
- Ensure accurate and compliant filing of financial statements, including expertise in XBRL filing.
Capital Market and Regulatory Reporting (Mandatory):
- Possess Strong knowledge of SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) and Stock Exchange Regulations relevant to financial reporting and disclosures (critical for listed entities).
- Ensure comprehensive compliance reporting for capital market activities and corporate governance.
Banking and Treasury Operations:
- Demonstrate Proven experience in banking operations, including managing daily cash flows, liaising with banks, and optimizing working capital management.
- Expertise in negotiating and managing credit facilities and ensuring compliance with all covenants and related compliance reporting.
Documentation and Communication:
- Exhibit Excellent drafting and communication skills required for producing high-stakes legal, audit, and secretarial documentation.
Multi-Entity Management:
- Possess the Ability to handle multiple entities (Listed, Limited & Private Limited) simultaneously, ensuring segregation of accounts and distinct statutory compliance for each.
Proactivity and Independence:
- Must be Self-driven, proactive, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities independently, prioritizing tasks and delivering results under tight deadlines.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
- Education & Experience: CA with minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Role Level: Mandatory experience in a managerial position, handling the entire Accounts & Finance Department.
- Entity Type: Experience in a Listed or Private Limited Company is mandatory.
- Compliance: Strong knowledge of Audit, Taxation, GST, SEBI, and Stock Exchange Regulations.
- Corporate Law: In-depth understanding of Company Law, MCA procedures, SEBI regulations, and XBRL filing.
- Finance: Proven experience in banking operations, credit facilities, and compliance reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial systems and contribute to ERP implementation/upgrades.
- Experience with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/Ind AS).
- Strong presentation skills for delivering financial results to the Board of Directors.
