Role Overview:
The Senior Agency Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding the agency sales channel in Rewa. This role involves recruiting, developing, and leading a team of insurance agents/agency partners to achieve business growth, meet revenue targets, and build a high-performing distribution network. The position requires strong sales acumen, leadership capability, and a deep understanding of insurance industry dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Agency Development & Recruitment:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard high-potential agency partners/advisors.
- Build and maintain a productive agency channel to drive sustained business growth.
- Ensure the quality of recruitment meets company standards.
2. Sales Management:
- Drive sales performance through the agency channel to meet monthly and annual business targets.
- Monitor and track agent productivity, ensuring consistent achievement of KPIs.
- Develop sales plans, promotional strategies, and activity schedules to maximize market penetration.
3. Training & Capability Building:
- Provide regular training, coaching, and skill development sessions for agency partners.
- Enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and compliance understanding.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and offer strategic guidance for improvement.
4. Market Analysis & Strategy:
- Analyze local market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Identify business opportunities and implement effective market expansion strategies.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports for sales tracking, forecasting, and decision-making.
5. Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with agents, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Address escalations, ensure service quality, and deliver a superior customer experience.
- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless policy processing and claim support.
6. Compliance & Process Adherence:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal compliance standards.
- Maintain documentation, audit readiness, and process discipline across the agency network.
- Uphold ethical practices and represent the brand with integrity.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or Postgraduate degree is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 35 years of experience in insurance sales, agency management, or financial services.
- Proven track record in recruiting and managing agents/advisors.
- Experience in general insurance is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales and business development orientation.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of general insurance products, IRDAI regulations, and market practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with CRM tools.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Agent recruitment numbers and activation rate.
- Monthly/quarterly premium achievement (GWP).
- Agent productivity and retention.
- Market expansion and new business conversion.
- Compliance adherence and process excellence.
