Group Head - Legal - Telecom

Role Overview:

The Group Head - Legal will provide strategic legal leadership and oversight for all entities within the Group's telecom operations across multiple jurisdictions. Based in Dubai, this role will serve as a trusted advisor to the Group's executive leadership on complex legal, regulatory, and compliance matters spanning the UAE, UK, Europe, and other international markets.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer with strong commercial and telecom regulatory experience, capable of managing cross-border legal issues while driving operational excellence and risk mitigation across the Group.

Key Responsibilities (Brief):

- Legal Leadership: Define and execute the Group's legal and regulatory strategy across multiple countries.

- Advisory Role: Advise the Board and senior management on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with telecom, data privacy, and competition laws in all operating regions.

- Contracts & Transactions: Oversee drafting and negotiation of major commercial agreements, M&A, and joint ventures.

- Risk & Dispute Management: Manage litigation, arbitration, and legal risks; engage and supervise external counsel.

- Corporate Governance: Maintain strong governance standards, policies, and entity management across jurisdictions.

- Compliance & Ethics: Lead Group-wide compliance programs on AML, anti-bribery, data protection (GDPR), and ethics.

- Leadership: Build and mentor regional legal teams and drive a proactive, business-partnering culture.
