
About the Organisation:
A rapidly scaling Indian business group with a strong legacy in manufacturing and consumer products is looking to hire a Group HR Head to lead the people function across multiple business verticals and manufacturing locations.
The organisation is currently in a transformational growth phase with aggressive expansion plans, new product launches, and capacity scale-ups across India and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to build and institutionalise the HR function at a group level while working closely with the promoters and senior leadership team.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who enjoys building systems, driving culture, and scaling organisations in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Organisation Building:
- Design and implement group-wide HR policies, systems, and governance frameworks
- Build scalable HR processes aligned with business growth objectives
- Drive organisation structure, workforce planning, and people strategy across business units
Talent Acquisition & Leadership Hiring:
- Lead strategic hiring across corporate, manufacturing, sales, and leadership functions
- Build strong talent pipelines to support expansion plans
- Strengthen employer branding and talent attraction initiatives
Performance & Compensation:
- Implement robust performance management systems linked to business outcomes
- Drive compensation benchmarking, rewards, and performance-linked structures
- Establish accountability and high-performance culture across teams
Learning & Organisational Development:
- Identify capability gaps and implement L&D initiatives
- Build leadership pipelines and succession planning frameworks
- Coach senior stakeholders and business leaders
Employee Engagement & Culture:
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and cultural transformation initiatives
- Build people practices that foster ownership, accountability, and collaboration
- Strengthen communication and employee connect mechanisms across locations
Industrial Relations & Compliance:
- Oversee labour law compliance and employee relations across manufacturing sites
- Partner with plant HR/IR teams on industrial relations matters
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a strategic advisor to promoters and senior leadership
- Support business decisions through organisation and people insights
- Lead HR transformation initiatives during scale and change
Digital & AI-Driven HR Capability:
- Strong understanding and practical exposure to modern HR Tech platforms and digital HR ecosystems
- Well-versed in leveraging contemporary AI tools for talent acquisition, sourcing, HR analytics, employee engagement, learning \u0026 development, and productivity enhancement
- Familiarity with AI-enabled recruitment platforms, ATS systems, HR automation workflows, and people analytics tools
- Ability to drive digital transformation initiatives within the HR function and improve operational efficiency through technology adoption
- Comfortable working in a data-driven, technology-enabled, fast-scaling business environment
Required Candidate Profile:
Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Prior experience with large Indian groups, manufacturing businesses, or professionally managed organisations preferred
- Exposure to multi-location operations and complex workforce environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of manufacturing HR and industrial relations preferred
Skills:
- Expertise across Talent Acquisition, PMS, Compensation, L&D, Engagement, and HR Operations
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution
- Strong communication, influencing, and organisational skills
Qualification:
- MBA / PGDM in HR from a reputed institute preferred
