Role Overview
The Group Head Human Resources will be a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for building and institutionalising the end-to-end HR ecosystem across Star Agri Group.
The role will focus on:
- Creating scalable people practices
- Managing a large blue-collar workforce
- Strengthening industrial relations
- Driving a performance-oriented culture aligned with the Groups growth agenda
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Ecosystem Building
- Design and implement comprehensive HR policies, processes, SOPs, organisation structures, and governance frameworks across group entities
- Institutionalise best-in-class HR practices suited for a rapidly scaling agribusiness
2. Workforce Planning & Talent Management
- Lead manpower planning across corporate, plant, warehouse, and field operations
- Manage a significant blue-collar workforce
- Drive productivity benchmarks, succession planning, and talent pipelines
3. Learning & Development
- Design and drive L&D strategy across all levels
- Focus on leadership development, functional capability building, and frontline skill enhancement
- Build structured learning journeys and training calendars aligned with business priorities
4. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
- Manage industrial relations across manufacturing and operational locations
- Handle unions, negotiations, dispute resolution, and grievance management
- Foster a stable, compliant, and harmonious work environment
5. Culture & Organisation Development
- Drive culture-building initiatives aligned with company values and vision
- Lead employee engagement, performance management, and change management initiatives
6. Statutory Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory frameworks
- Act as custodian of ethics, governance, and internal controls related to people processes
7. HR Operations & Systems
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle (hire to retire)
- Implement and optimise HRMS, MIS, dashboards, and analytics
- Drive data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency

Preferred Background
1. 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience
2. Industry preference: Agri, Food, FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Infrastructure
3. Proven experience in building HR frameworks from the ground up
4. Exposure to multi-location operations and large workforce environments
5. MBA / PG in HR from a reputed institute
