Job Title: Group Head - Human Resources

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Reporting To: CEO

About the Role:

The Group Head - Human Resources will be a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for building and institutionalising the end-to-end HR ecosystem. The role will focus on creating scalable people practices, managing a large blue-collar workforce, strengthening industrial relations, and shaping a strong performance-driven culture aligned with the Group's growth agenda.

Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Strategy & Ecosystem Building:

- Design and implement comprehensive HR policies, processes, SOPs, organisation structures, role clarity, and governance frameworks across group entities.

- Institutionalise best-in-class HR practices suitable for a rapidly scaling agribusiness.

2. Workforce Planning & Talent Management:

- Lead manpower planning across corporate, plant, warehouse, and field operations with a significant blue-collar workforce.

- Ensure optimal workforce mix, productivity benchmarks, succession planning, and talent pipelines.

3. Learning & Development:

- Conceptualise and drive L&D strategy across levels, including leadership development, functional capability building, and shop-floor / frontline skill enhancement.

- Build structured learning journeys and training calendars aligned with business priorities.

4. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations:

- Manage industrial relations across manufacturing and operational locations, including unions, negotiations, dispute resolution, and grievance handling.

- Foster a stable, compliant, and harmonious work environment.

5. Culture & Organisation Development:

- Drive culture building initiatives aligned with the Group's values, ethics, and long-term vision.

- Lead engagement, performance management, and change management initiatives.

6. Statutory Compliance & Governance:

- Ensure end-to-end compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory frameworks across geographies.

- Act as the custodian of ethical practices, governance, and internal controls related to people processes.

7. HR Operations & Systems:

- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle from hire to retire.

- Implement and optimise HRMS, MIS, dashboards, and analytics to enable data-driven decision-making.

- Strengthen operational efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of HR systems.

Key Traits & Competencies:

- High integrity, strong ethical foundation, and maturity to work directly with the Promoter.

- Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.

- Deep understanding of blue-collar workforce dynamics and IR environments.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

- Hands-on, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setup.

Preferred Background:

- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in agri, food, FMCG, manufacturing, logistics, or infrastructure-led businesses.

- Proven experience in setting up HR frameworks from the ground up.

- Exposure to multi-location operations and large workforce environments.

- MBA / PG in HR from a reputed institute.
