GROUP CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (GCFO)

Position to be based in Mumbai
A) The Mandate:
We have been mandated to recruit a seasoned leader to take charge as Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) of a strong, well diversified Financial Services Group headquartered in Mumbai
The Group has a strong presence in Asset Management, Capital Markets, Alternatives, Wealth Management, etc.
B) The Role
The Group Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting to the MD & CEO and working closely with the Board and shareholders. This is a group-level, strategic CFO role with responsibility across a diversified financial services platform.
The mandate for this role goes well beyond traditional financial control. The Group CFO will act as a strategic partner to the MD & CEO, playing a central role in enterprise strategy, capital allocation, inorganic growth, investor engagement and long-term value creation.
C) Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a strategic partner to the MD & CEO and the Board and provide enterprise-level financial leadership across multiple businesses
2. Lead capital allocation and balance sheet strategy across the Group,
3. Drive capital raising initiatives (equity and debt), including funding structures aligned with the Group's growth plans, and play a key role in M&A, joint ventures and strategic investments
4. Act as the primary interface with Boards, Investors, Lenders, Rating Agencies and Regulators
5. Support the organization's preparedness for IPO or listing readiness as relevant.
6. Build, lead and mentor group-level finance and strategy teams
7. Lead finance transformation initiatives, including digitization, automation and shared services, to create scalable and future-ready finance capabilities
D) Age, Qualifications & Experience
1. CA / MBA
2. 18-25 years of experience
3. Combination of experience in large, system-driven organizations and high-growth, promoter-led environments
4. Strong exposure to BFSI, ideally across multiple financial services segments
5. Experience of engaging with Boards, Investors, Lenders, Rating Agencies and Regulators
6. Experience operating in multi-entity or group structures
7. Currently operating as Group CFO / Dy Group CFO / Senior Division CFO
