Group Chief Fiancial Officer - Retail/FMCG

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic financial leadership at the group level, overseeing finance operations across multiple business units and legal entities.

2. Drive group-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management to support growth and profitability objectives.

3. Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and compliance across all subsidiaries, including statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

4. Partner with business unit leaders to evaluate financial performance, optimize capital allocation, and support strategic initiatives, M&A, and investments.

5. Lead consolidation of group financial statements and present accurate, timely financial insights to the Board and senior leadership.

6. Manage treasury functions including cash flow management, funding strategies, banking relationships, and risk management at the group level.

7. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance teams across the group, driving standardization of processes and financial best practices.

Background / Qualifications:

1. Chartered Accountant, MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualification with 15+ years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership roles.

2. Prior experience as Group CFO, CFO, or senior finance leader managing multiple business units or subsidiaries at a group level.

3. Proven track record of leading finance functions across complex organizational structures, including consolidation, governance, and cross-entity reporting.

4. Strong experience partnering with Boards, promoters, and senior leadership on strategy, capital allocation, and long-term financial planning.

5. Hands-on expertise in treasury, taxation, compliance, audit, and regulatory matters across diverse business operations.

6. Experience in scaling organizations, managing change, and implementing robust financial systems and controls.

7. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with the ability to influence across business and functional teams.
