Government Account Manager / Regional Sales Manager - Medical Equipment & Diagnostics

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Government Account Manager / Regional Sales Manager to drive business development and sales in the government healthcare sector.

The role will focus on developing government institutional business, managing key government accounts, building relationships with government stakeholders, onboarding dealers and liaisoners, and achieving sales targets across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets in government healthcare institutions.

- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in government hospitals, medical colleges and public health centers.

- Develop business opportunities across government healthcare institutions, including District Medical Colleges, CHCs, PHCs, ESI, Army, CGHS, NMS, AIIMS and similar institutions.

- Onboard and manage dealers, liaisoners and channel partners for government institutional business.

- Coordinate with dealers and liaisoners and be responsible for payment collection.

- Understand and manage government procurement processes and tendering systems.

- Negotiate and close deals with government entities while ensuring favorable terms and compliance.

- Monitor government procurement opportunities, competitor activities and market trends.

- Provide product training and support to customers across relevant product/therapy areas.

- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

- Maintain regular account and sales updates and work towards achieving assigned business targets.

Business Target:

Annual Business Target: 10 - 12 Crore

Required Experience:

- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Government Sales / Government Institutional Sales.

- Candidates should have experience selling medical equipment, diagnostics, consumables, pharmaceuticals or related healthcare products to government institutions.

- Experience with district-level government healthcare institutions will be preferred.

- Strong understanding of government procurement processes and tendering systems is required.

- Experience in dealer, distributor, liaisoner or channel partner management will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile:

- Proven experience in government healthcare sales.

- Strong understanding of local government procurement and tendering processes.

- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including interaction with government officials and hospital administrators.

- Strong business development, negotiation and relationship management skills.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Self-driven and capable of working independently across assigned regions.

- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business or a related field.

Preferred Industry Background:

Candidates from the medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare equipment, POCT, medical consumables or pharmaceutical industry with relevant government sales experience will be preferred.

Candidates from companies such as Meril, Sensacore, Transasia, Trivitron, Becton/Coulter, Allied Lifescience, Agappe, Polymed, Fujifilm, Accusure, Abbott Medical and similar organizations may be considered.

Compensation will depend on experience, territory and candidate profile.
