Designation: Deputy General Manager - Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Procurement Finance
Role Purpose:
Provide financial partnership to Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Procurement functions to drive cost efficiency, productivity, inventory optimization, working capital improvement, and value creation while ensuring strong financial controls and governance.
1. Manufacturing Finance:
- Monitor plant performance and manufacturing costs, including material, labor, overhead, and yield variances.
- Drive productivity, waste reduction, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Support product costing, standard costing updates, and profitability analysis.
- Provide insights on operational KPIs and manufacturing efficiency.
2. Supply Chain Finance:
- Support financial management of logistics, warehousing, and distribution costs.
- Drive inventory optimization and reduction of obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels, working capital, and supply chain efficiency metrics.
- Evaluate opportunities for network and cost optimization.
3. Procurement Finance:
- Partner with procurement teams to validate and track savings initiatives.
- Support sourcing decisions through cost analysis and business case evaluations.
- Monitor commodity price movements and assess business impact.
- Establish mechanisms to track procurement savings realization.
4. Planning & Performance Management:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and month-end performance review processes.
- Deliver financial analysis, variance reporting, and actionable insights.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor operational performance.
- Support scenario planning and decision-making for business initiatives.
5. Capex & Investment Analysis:
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and assess financial returns.
- Track capital project spend and monitor achievement of business benefits.
- Support post-investment reviews and ROI assessments.
- Ensure effective governance of operational investment decisions.
6. Controls, Compliance & Analytics:
- Ensure robust controls over inventory, procurement, and manufacturing processes.
- Support internal and external audits and compliance requirements.
- Drive automation, reporting improvements, and process simplification initiatives.
- Leverage ERP and analytics tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- CA / MBA Finance or equivalent.
- 8-11 years of total experience. Of this atleast 2-3 years based out of manufacturing units and experience in Manufacturing Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Procurement Finance, or Plant Finance, or FP&A.
- Strong knowledge of costing, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience with SAP/ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering skills.
