Role Overview:
- The Product Manager - Infection Control will serve as the strategic owner of the product portfolio, driving market development, product positioning, and cross-functional alignment to accelerate business growth.
- This role demands a blend of technical expertise, market insight, and commercial acumen to shape the infection control product strategy, deliver impactful go-to-market initiatives, and build strong relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Product & Market Leadership:
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for infection control solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives.
- Conduct in-depth market research to analyze trends, emerging technologies, and competitor landscape, translating insights into actionable growth opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for differentiation, portfolio expansion, and value creation through innovative product solutions and partnerships.
- Lead new product introductions including regulatory approvals, positioning, launch campaigns, and lifecycle management.
Marketing & Market Development
- Conceptualize and deliver high-impact marketing campaigns across digital, offline, and event platforms to enhance brand visibility and generate demand.
- Plan and execute scientific programs (symposia, CME, workshops, conferences) to build product awareness and thought leadership.
- Develop compelling marketing collateral, technical presentations, and digital assets tailored to clinicians, hospital administrators, and infection control specialists.
- Build strong relationships with architects, consultants, and project stakeholders to drive adoption during healthcare infrastructure projects.
Sales Enablement & Business Development
- Partner closely with sales teams to drive revenue growth by providing technical knowledge, consultative selling tools, and competitive positioning.
- Support strategic tenders, technical evaluations, and key account negotiations by engaging with surgeons, CSSD managers, consultants, and procurement authorities.
- Identify and drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities across consumables and equipment bundles.
- Coach and mentor new sales representatives to accelerate their product adoption capabilities and confidence.
Training & Knowledge Transfer:
- Design and deliver structured training programs for sales teams, distributors, and healthcare professionals on infection control products, workflows, and best practices.
- Conduct operational training sessions, follow-ups, and troubleshooting with end users to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance.
- Collaborate with other product managers to align training programs during project rollouts and handovers.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Develop accurate forecasts, monitor sales funnels, and manage demo stocks to ensure market readiness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all promotional and technical communications comply with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and quality certifications.
- Proactively resolve customer complaints and coordinate with service/technical teams to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Leverage data analytics to track portfolio performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans in consultation with leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or Pharmacy.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Healthcare Management preferred.
Experience: 5-8 years of proven success in product management, preferably in medical equipment/devices/consumables within the infection control domain.
- Demonstrated track record of launching, managing, and scaling technical product lines.
