Geofluid - Finance Manager- CA

Location: Mumbai

Department: Finance

Compensation: Approximately 18-20 LPA (depending on experience and fit).

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the Company:

We are a growing engineering and industrial solutions company providing specialized equipment, process solutions, and services to customers across manufacturing, process industries, water treatment, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and related sectors. We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the finance function and support the organization's growth, profitability, and financial governance objectives.

Position Overview:

The Head Finance / Finance Controller will be responsible for managing the company's finance and accounts function, ensuring robust financial controls, compliance, budgeting, treasury management, and business performance monitoring. The role requires a commercially oriented Chartered Accountant who can partner with business leaders to drive profitability, optimize working capital, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Prepare monthly MIS, management reports, and business performance dashboards.

- Analyze profitability by customer, project, product, and business segment.

- Support management with financial insights and recommendations.

Financial Control & Reporting:

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.

- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.

- Monitor accounting processes, reconciliations, and month-end closures.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

Taxation & Compliance:

- Oversee GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.

- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

- Manage statutory, internal, and tax audits.

- Ensure timely filing of all regulatory returns.

Treasury & Working Capital Management:

- Manage cash flow planning and working capital requirements.

- Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and cash conversion cycles.

- Maintain banking relationships and manage fund-based and non-fund-based facilities.

- Support financing requirements and banking negotiations.

Costing & Business Finance:

- Review project costing, pricing, and profitability analysis.

- Support commercial decision-making and contract evaluations.

- Monitor project margins and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

- Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.

- Establish performance metrics and accountability across the department.

- Develop finance processes and systems to support business growth.

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary finance contact for banks, auditors, consultants, and key stakeholders.

- Support the CEO and leadership team in strategic and operational initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.

- Additional qualifications in Finance or Management will be an advantage.

Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in Finance and Accounts.

- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, project-based businesses, process industries, chemicals, or related sectors preferred.

- Experience in budgeting, treasury, taxation, audits, financial reporting, and business finance.

- Prior experience leading finance teams is essential.

Compensation:

- Budget: Approximately 18-20 LPA (depending on experience and fit).

Location Requirement:

- Candidates must be currently based in Mumbai or willing to work from Mumbai on a full-time basis.
