Description:

- New Client Acquisition Identify and pursue new business opportunities across D2C/e-commerce, funded startups, and enterprise organization's with monthly retainer potential of 4L-8L.

- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through strategic outreach, referral networks, and industry relationships with particular emphasis on CMOs, VPs of Marketing, and Growth heads.

- Own the full sales cycle: from first conversation through to proposal, pitch, negotiation, and close.

Partnerships & Alliances:

- Identify and develop strategic partnerships with platforms, technology partners, and complementary agencies that expand GenY Medium's reach and commercial value.

- Represent GenY Medium at industry events, forums, and curated networking opportunities in Bangalore and beyond.

Revenue Strategy & Pipeline Governance:

- Maintain a structured, stage-gated pipeline with clear visibility into deal status, revenue probability, and projected closure timelines.

- Work closely with the Managing Partner and delivery leadership to ensure proposals are commercially sound and operationally deliverable.

- Provide weekly pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting to the Managing Partner.

Team Leadership:

- Mentor and direct the Business Development Associate, setting clear targets for top-of-funnel activity and ensuring quality of outreach and lead qualification.

- Build a BD function that is process-driven, not personality-dependent.

Requirements Experience & Background:

- 3-5 years of business development or consultative sales experience, with a demonstrable track record of closing retainer-based engagements.

- Proven ability to engage, build credibility with, and close deals with CMOs, Chief Growth Officers, and senior marketing leaders ideally in D2C, startup, or enterprise contexts.

- Background in digital marketing, media, or marketing consulting is strongly preferred.

- Candidates from agency, consulting, or SaaS environments who have sold to marketing decision-makers are equally welcome.

Skills & Attributes:

- Strong strategic acumen able to understand a client's business context and articulate GenY Medium's value in terms of business outcomes, not service features.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of crafting a compelling pitch deck as confidently as a sharp follow-up email.

- Naturally relationship-oriented with the discipline to build structure around those relationships: CRM hygiene, pipeline governance, and follow-through.

- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity this role requires someone who can create their own momentum.

- Familiarity with digital marketing disciplines performance marketing, SEO, content, paid media, and analytics sufficient to hold credible strategic conversations with senior clients.
