Job Description : 1. To develop and implement supply chain management systems & procedures by identifying potential projects to deliver changes & improvements to the supply chain. 2. Initiate and Drive to achieve the direct materials cost reduction by sourcing and developing new sources and new materials. 3. To frame vendor development program and promote vendor relationships by constantly monitoring material flow and timely issuance of levelled schedules for improving business alignment between supplier and the buying organisation. 4. Undertake supplier onboarding, performance evaluation and take corrective & proactive measures to de-bottle neck constraints for improving delivery rating & inventory level. 5. To reduce lead time for procuring Raw Materials by using value stream mapping so as to ensure on time delivery to Manufacturing. 6. Supplier relationship management (SRM) end to end. 7. Influence people across the levels in his function to ensure that they are motivated, trained and together in setting and achieving new height in performance year on year by identifying & assessing the competency gap, ensure training is implemented to bridge the gap and assess training effectiveness so as to continuously improve organisations performance. 8. To ensure secrecy is maintained about the information, documents and trade secrets, whether patented or not in any form , that gives Syrma Technology an opportunity to obtain an advantage over competitors. Education: BE (EEE / ECE / Mech), MBA (Operations / Supply Chain) or MTech (Mechanical) Experience : - 15-20 (+/-3) yrs in Purchase / Procurement, in electronics and electro-mechanical materials, preferably within EMS industry. - 5-10 years of managerial experience (role has 12 direct reports). Knowledge : - Project Management - End to end Supply Chain Process. - Knowledge of practical application of engineering science & technology. - Knowledge of raw materials, distribution of products & manufacturing process, Vendor base, Distributors and Manufacturers. - An understanding of business and management principles , leadership strategies & strategic planning - Proficiency in usage of IT tools. - Expert in operating the ERP tools. Skills : - Negotiation skills (owns, not just participates). - Supplier development and relationship management. - Good inter-personal, leadership and team management skills including management of geographically spread, diverse and remote teams. - Able to work independently. - Analytical skills and used to working on analytics tools and dashboards like Power BI or Tableau.
