Responsibilities:



- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic plan for the solar business vertical, aligning with the company's overall objectives and driving significant growth.



- Business Development: Drive business development efforts across diverse sectors, including C&I (Commercial & Industrial), utility, and government, to expand the company's market presence and secure new projects.



- Project Delivery: Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This includes managing all phases of the project lifecycle from inception to commissioning.



- Vendor Management: Develop and manage a robust ecosystem of vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.



- Government Bids & IPP Development: Lead the preparation and submission of bids for government solar projects. Develop financial models, conduct feasibility studies, and manage the development of IPP projects.



- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including engineering, finance, legal, and operations, as well as external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and investors, to ensure seamless project execution and business growth.



- P&L Responsibility: Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the solar business unit, ensuring financial targets are met and profitability is maximized.



- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.



- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments in the solar energy sector, and provide insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.



- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with solar projects, ensuring project success and minimizing potential losses.



- Compliance: Ensure all projects and operations comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.



Qualifications:



- Experience: 10-13 years of progressive experience in the solar energy sector, with a minimum of 5-8 years in a leadership role.



- Project Experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale solar projects, including EPC and/or IPP projects with capacities of 100+ MW.



- Business Acumen: Strong business and financial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies.



- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of solar PV technology, project development, and the solar energy market.



- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.



- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) is required. An MBA is strongly preferred.



- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of the Indian solar energy market, including policies, regulations, and key players.



- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.



- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.



Preferred Skills:



- Experience with financial modeling and project finance for renewable energy projects.



- Familiarity with government tendering processes and regulations related to solar energy.



- Knowledge of the latest advancements in solar technology and energy storage solutions.



- Certifications in project management or related fields.
