Position Overview:

The General Manager Sales - IT Services is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new clients and expansion of existing accounts. The role requires strong industry knowledge, consultative selling skills, and the ability to position complex IT services-including digital transformation (including AI), cloud, application development, and IT consulting-to enterprise and mid-market customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:

- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.

- Identify, qualify, and close high-value IT services opportunities across assigned territories or verticals.

- Build and maintain a strong pipeline using structured prospecting, networking, and market intelligence.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

- Engage CXOs, CIOs, CTOs, and senior decision-makers to understand business challenges and propose relevant IT solutions.

- Lead end-to-end sales cycles including RFP response, solution positioning, pricing, negotiation, and contract closure.

- Grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling digital, cloud, cybersecurity, and managed IT services.

3. Solution & Collaboration:

- Work closely with technical, pre-sales, delivery, and product teams to create value-driven proposals.

- Translate business requirements into feasible IT solutions aligned with client objectives.

- Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams and maintain executive oversight during project initiation.

4. Market Intelligence & Positioning:

- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and technology advancements to refine sales positioning.

- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and customer forums.

- Support marketing in creating go-to-market campaigns and thought-leadership material.

5. Reporting & Compliance:

- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system: pipeline, forecasts, activities, and revenue projections.

- Ensure compliance with internal sales processes, pricing guidelines, and contract governance steps.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical & Domain Expertise:

- 8-15+ years of experience in IT services sales, preferably in areas such as:

- AI/ ML Services

- AI Strategy & Consulting

- Machine Learning Solutions

- Deep Learning Services

- AI Integration & Automation

- AI Governance & Compliance

- RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Services

- RPA Strategy & Consulting

- RPA Development & Implementation

- Intelligent Automation (RPA + AI)

- IT Application Development & Modernization

- Custom Application Development

- Application Modernization

- Application Integration Services

- DevOps & Agile Delivery

- Application Maintenance & Support

- Enterprise Digital Transformation

- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments and the ability to discuss technical concepts with CXO-level clients.

Sales Skills:

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar sales targets.

- Strong consultative and solution-based selling capabilities.

- Experience selling into enterprise or mid-market accounts.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive-level negotiation skills.

- High level of business acumen and ability to understand client business drivers.

- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field (required).

- MBA or equivalent advanced degree (preferred).
