We are looking for a seasoned General Manager - Production to lead dyeing and winding operations at a large-scale textile threads manufacturing plant. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can drive capacity utilization, process excellence, and waste reduction while ensuring top-tier quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end production operations across dyeing & winding
- Drive capacity optimization (current ~- 5 Cr vs potential - 10 Cr/month)
- Improve yield, reduce rejection & rework, and enhance productivity
- Implement best practices in HTHP, package dyeing, cabinet dyeing & precision winding
- Monitor plant KPIs: yield, downtime, efficiency, and cost control
- Strengthen raw material utilization & waste management systems
- Ensure compliance with EHS, ZLD, and statutory norms
- Lead and develop plant teams (shift managers, supervisors, operators)
- Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, SCM & R&D for seamless operations
- Drive process improvements, automation & CAPEX initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15-20 years of experience in textile/thread manufacturing
- Strong background in Garments / Textile Industry is MUST
- 8+ years of hands-on exposure in dyeing & winding operations
- Expertise in synthetic & cotton thread dyeing, color consistency, and process control
- Proven track record in reducing waste, improving yield, and minimizing rejection
- Strong leadership, team handling & shop-floor management skills
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. (Textile / Chemical preferred)
Lean / TPM / Six Sigma exposure is an added advantage
