General Manager - Legal - Real Estate - LLB/LLM

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to lead and manage the legal function for a rapidly growing real estate enterprise with strong law firm fundamentals.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of real estate legal expertise, transaction advisory, compliance management, and contract negotiation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all legal affairs related to real estate acquisitions, joint ventures, development, and leasing.

- Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements including sale deeds, lease deeds, MoUs, development agreements, and service contracts.

- Manage litigation and coordinate with external counsels, law firms, and regulatory authorities.

- Ensure compliance with RERA, local municipal laws, and other statutory regulations applicable to the real estate sector.

- Advise management on risk mitigation, legal strategy, and policy frameworks.

- Support due diligence, title verification, and documentation for land and property transactions.

- Liaise with government authorities for approvals, registrations, and legal clearances.

- Lead and mentor the internal legal team and manage relationships with external legal partners.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- LLB/LLM from a reputed institution.

- 12-20 years of experience with a combination of real estate developers and reputed law firms.

- Strong understanding of property laws, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.

- Proven track record in managing end-to-end legal processes for large-scale real estate projects.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Background:

- Prior experience in both real estate and law firm environments.

- Exposure to high-value transactions, land acquisition, and dispute resolution.
