General Manager/Lead - Land Legal - Renewable Energy Project - LLB

We are looking for an experienced Land & Legal Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate should hold an LLB from a reputed institute and brings around 15-20+ years of relevant experience in land acquisition and legal affairs for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid) across multiple states in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for legal/title due diligence and ensuring clear, risk-free land titles.

- Verify ownership records, past transfers, and encumbrance status thoroughly.

- Draft and review all land contracts and documents - Land Development Agreements, sale deeds, lease agreements, memoranda of family settlements etc.

- Ensure compliance with registration, stamp duty, and state-specific land laws.

- Identify and coordinate with land aggregators, local counsel, and revenue authorities.

- Obtain legal opinions and title reports to support risk-free acquisition.

- Manage mutation, land conversion, and maintain a complete legal trail.

- Proactively identify and mitigate legal risks in land acquisition.

Required Experience:

- Prior experience of working in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

- Ideally should have prior working experience with a renewable developer in India.

- Minimum 15-20 years of experience in land legal due diligence and documentation.

- Dealt with reputed law firms in India for TSR and land acquisition activities.

- Prior land litigation experience will be preferred, especially with SDM court, RAA and BoR, District Courts, etc.

- Experience in adjudication of stamp duty and creation of mortgage.

This is a key role supporting our greenfield project execution, land bank expansion, and ensuring legal risk management aligned with business goals.
