Role Overview:
- As the GM Finance Head for our Infrastructure Business, you will be the financial steward, responsible for overseeing all financial operations related to our Road/Highway and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) projects. You will work closely with project teams, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and optimal resource allocation.
- Your leadership will be instrumental in driving profitability, managing financial risks, and supporting strategic decision-making, ultimately contributing to the successful execution and financial performance of our infrastructure portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure sound financial management across all Road/Highway and WTP projects, enhancing profitability and mitigating financial risks.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, providing accurate and timely financial insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Manage project finance activities, including financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction structuring, to secure funding and optimize project returns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements, safeguarding the company's financial integrity and minimizing legal exposure.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement to enhance team performance and achieve organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze project costs, revenues, and cash flows, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.
- Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions, building strong relationships and ensuring smooth execution of financial transactions.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations relevant to the infrastructure sector.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies that drive profitability and mitigate financial risks in complex project environments.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 15-20 years of experience in finance and accounts, preferably within the infrastructure sector (Road/Highway/WTP).
- Adaptable to an on-site work environment in Kolkata.
