General Manager - Financial Controllership & Reporting - Real Estate - CA

A leading real estate development company is seeking a General Manager - Finance Controller to lead financial controllership, accounting governance and consolidated financial reporting.

The role will oversee financial statements across multiple subsidiaries, ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and group accounting policies, and drive balance sheet governance.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will lead statutory audits, resolve complex accounting matters and strengthen financial controls, reporting systems and consolidation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead financial controllership, accounting governance and compliance with Ind AS, statutory requirements and group accounting policies.

- Oversee consolidated financial reporting, subsidiary accounts, intercompany eliminations and group reporting.

- Drive monthly balance sheet reviews, accounting judgements, provisions, reconciliations and financial risk assessment.

- Lead statutory audits and represent the company on complex accounting matters with auditors.

- Strengthen financial controls, SAP-based reporting, consolidation systems and reporting automation.

- Partner with the Chief Financial Officer, subsidiary finance teams and group finance stakeholders on reporting accuracy and governance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 13 - 19 years of relevant post-qualification experience.

- Strong background in financial controllership, accounting governance and statutory financial reporting.

- Experience in a listed company, large corporate group or multi-subsidiary environment.

- Deep expertise in Ind AS, consolidated financial statements, related-party transactions and intercompany accounting.

- Hands-on experience with SAP, enterprise consolidation systems, balance sheet reviews and statutory audit management.

- Strong technical accounting judgement and ability to engage independently with senior leadership and statutory auditors.
