Job Summary

The General Manager - Finance will serve as the strategic financial head for a premier, reputed and Chennai-based real estate firm, specializing in land aggregation, plot development, and construction. This role involves overseeing the entire financial lifecycle of real estate projects-from land aggregation and fund raising to project-wise budgeting and RERA compliance. You will be a key advisor to the Board of Directors, ensuring financial stability and driving the company towards its vision.

Job Details

Company: A premier land aggregator and real estate developer in Chennai.

Location: Ekkattuthangal, Chennai.

Experience: 12-15 Years (Min. 8 years in Real Estate/Construction).

Salary Range: As per Industry standards (Commensurate with experience).

Key Responsibilities

- Fund Management: Lead corporate fundraising, secure project-based loans (APF), and manage relationships with Banks/NBFCs for construction finance and land aggregation funding.

- Financial Strategy: Develop and monitor long-term business plans and annual budgets. Provide financial feasibility reports for new land acquisitions.

- Taxation & Compliance: Oversee Direct and Indirect Taxation (GST/Income Tax). Ensure 100% compliance with RERA regulations, including maintaining escrow accounts.

- Audit & Control: Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits. Implement robust internal control systems to minimize financial leakages.

- Cash Flow Management: Optimize working capital and ensure timely vendor payments and payroll management across multiple project sites.

- Reporting: Prepare and present monthly MIS reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis to the Managing Director.

Mandatory Skills

- Expertise in Land Financing and RERA regulations.

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Tally Prime) and advanced MS Excel.

- Proven track record in Liaisoning with Banks for large-scale limits.

- In-depth knowledge of Accounting Standards (Ind AS).

Qualification & Education

- Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (CA).

- Preferred: Additional qualification in CMA or MBA (Finance) from a Tier-1 institute.
