General Manager - Finance - Publishing House

We are seeking a GM Finance for a global Publishing House.

Job Profile:

Financial Leadership:

- Lead and manage finance teams across multiple companies in the group, ensuring consistency and governance in reporting, compliance, and operations.

Data & Analytics:

- Leverage advanced Excel, data crunching, and AI-driven insights to support business decision-making.

Accounting & Reporting:

- Oversee accounting, finalisation of books, preparation of MIS, and statutory compliance.

Audits & Compliance:

- Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Reconciliation & Controls:

- Supervise bank reconciliation, customer reconciliation, and collection processes.

Transfer Pricing & Taxation:

- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing norms, direct and indirect tax laws.

Working Capital Management:

- Monitor receivables, collections, and cash flow for smooth business operations.

Business Partnering:

- Provide financial insights and strategic support to the promoters for growth and profitability.

GM Finance Requirements:

Education:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant

Experience:

- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.

Industry:

- FMCG or industries with strong distribution and channel partner frameworks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Hands-on expertise in Excel, AI tools, and data crunching.

- Proven team leadership and ability to manage multiple finance units.

- Deep understanding of accounting, audits, reconciliations, and compliance.
