Job Location - Chennai (Work from Office role)

Reporting to - CFO

Qualification - CA/ ICWA with 25 yrs+ experience

Working Days - 6 days working (Jan- April) / 5 days working (May-Dec)

Role and Responsibilities:

The General Manager - Finance serves as the strategic financial leader, overseeing all financial operations and partnering with the CEO and Board to drive profitability, manage risks, and support long-term growth. Experience with Hi-Tech Product Technology companies like Semiconductor, Telecom, Defense & Aerospace would be ideal.

1. Strategic Financial Planning

- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with business goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.

- Perform advanced financial analysis to uncover trends and deliver insights for decisions on investments, M&A, product launches, and market expansions.

- Guide growth initiatives with financial modeling and scenario planning.

2. Financial Operations

- Direct accounting, treasury, tax, reporting, payroll, and internal controls for accuracy and efficiency.

- Optimize cash flow, working capital, and liquidity while managing banking relationships and capital structure.

- Implement modern financial systems, including ERP and FinTech/AI tools for process automation and transformation.

3. Risk Management and Compliance

- Identify and mitigate financial, market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks.

- Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and other standards, maintaining robust internal controls and audit readiness.

- Safeguard assets and promote ethical practices across the organization.

4. Leadership and Team Development

- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align finance with company objectives.

5. Investor Relations and Innovation

- Communicate financial insights clearly to stakeholders, including Board, investors, and employees.

- Manage investor communications, earnings presentations, and relationships with analysts.

- Lead adoption of AI and Fin Tech trends to modernize the finance function.
