Description:

Role:

Lead the Finance & Accounts function with end-to-end ownership of accounting, cash flow, compliance, budgeting, controls, and financial governance across the organization and group entities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Control

- Ensure compliance with IGAAP and accuracy of books across locations, ledgers, and cost centers

- Manage monthly and annual closure of accounts, P&L, Balance Sheet, depreciation, and reconciliations

- Coordinate statutory audits and finalize annual accounts by 30th April

- Maintain robust accounting systems, procedures, and documentation

- Conduct periodic inventory verification, stock reconciliation, and valuation

Cash Flow & Treasury

- Prepare and monitor monthly and annual cash flow forecasts

- Ensure timely vendor payments as per agreed credit terms

- Oversee BRS, cash controls, and approval of cheque/RTGS payments

- Coordinate with banks for credit facilities, renewals, and reporting

- Manage investments and ensure effective fund utilization

Receivables & Payables

- Monitor receivables, ageing, and collections with focus on >60 days outstanding

- Handle cheque bounce follow-ups and legal escalation where required

- Review payables and ensure quarterly balance confirmations

Market & Commercial Accounting

- Ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, scheme updates, and credit note approvals

- Validate dealer schemes, discounts, claims, and ARD outstanding

- Monitor branch expenses and field force tour expenses

- Ensure timely payment of trade deposit interest and market liabilities

Budgeting & MIS

- Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and departmental budgets

- Track variances, share MIS with HODs, and drive corrective actions

- Conduct monthly finance review meetings and closure of action items

Statutory & Compliance

- Ensure timely filing of GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, and other statutory returns

- Handle notices, assessments, and regulatory queries

- Maintain compliance with statutory and administrative calendars

Risk & Internal Controls

- Ensure insurance coverage for inventory and fixed assets and manage claims

- Develop, implement, and periodically update Internal Control Manual

- Drive continuous improvement in finance systems and processes

People & Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and review the finance team

- Ensure role clarity, job rotation, performance reviews, and capability building

Group Company Support

- Manage group company accounts, fund flow, and statutory matters

- Support legal and regulatory matters including mergers and assessments

Qualifications & Experience

Education: B.Com, MBA (Finance), CMA (Final)

Experience: ~30 years in Finance & Accounts

Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, statutory compliance

Leadership: 710 years managing finance teams

Languages: English and local language
