Position: General Manager Energy Management Industry: Chemicals Location: Vadodara Experience: 20+ years in Energy Strategy & Project Implementation Skills Required - Experience in energy management within the chemical or process industry. - Proven track record of driving energy efficiency projects and cost savings. - Experience in handling large-scale industrial utilities like boilers, turbines, compressors, and HVAC systems. - Experts' in energy audits, energy monitoring systems, and industrial automation. - Knowledge of renewable energy integration, cogeneration, and carbon footprint reduction. - Familiarity with ISO 50001 (Energy Management System) and other industry best practices. - Proficiency in energy modelling, data analysis, and reporting tools. - Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Energy Management & Optimization - Develop and implement energy efficiency programs to reduce energy consumption and costs. - Monitor, analyze, and optimize the use of electricity, steam, fuel, and other utilities. - Conduct regular energy audits and identify areas for improvement. - Implement best practices for energy conservation in process operations. - Forecast energy requirement and its budgeting 2. Strategy & Policy Development - Formulate and execute long-term energy management strategies aligned with business objectives. - Develop energy policies and ensure their implementation across all operations. - Evaluate and integrate renewable energy sources where feasible. 3. Regulatory Compliance & Sustainability - Ensure compliance with energy-related government regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards. - Maintain proper documentation and reporting for energy consumption and carbon footprint. - Lead sustainability initiatives, including carbon footprint reduction and green energy adoption. 4. Process Improvement & Cost Reduction - Identify and implement cost-effective energy-saving measures in manufacturing processes. - Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance energy efficiency. - Use data analytics and digital tools for real-,me energy monitoring and control. 5. Vendor & Stakeholder Management - Liaise with utility providers and regulatory bodies - Negotiate contracts for energy procurement and manage supplier relationships. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals. 6. Other Key Responsibilities - Provide training programs to enhance energy awareness across departments. - Drive a culture of continuous improvement in energy management practices. Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical / Energy / Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Proven track record in large-scale industrial energy systems, ideally in the chemical or manufacturing sector. - Strong technical and commercial understanding of renewable energy technologies and regulatory frameworks.
