General Manager - Chartered Accountant

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional (Chartered Accountant) with 15+ years of post-qualification experience and deep expertise in IFRS, financial reporting, consolidation, and financial controls. The role will be responsible for managing the corporate group consolidation function, strengthening the reporting and compliance framework, and supporting the transition to a technology-enabled consolidation and reporting environment.

The position requires extensive collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, country finance teams, and business unit leadership across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

Group Consolidation

- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, Segment Reporting, Notes) under IFRS for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.

- Consolidate multiple legal entities across geographies, including multi-currency translation and revaluation.

- Perform comparative and variance analysis of key financial schedules for CFO/CEO review.

- Prepare senior management and CEO decks, including peer benchmarking and financial performance analysis.

- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close timelines and oversee group-level financial reporting.

- Coordinate and manage group audits, including interaction with statutory auditors.

IFRS Centre of Excellence

- Lead accounting for acquisitions, disposals, mergers, and common-control transactions.

- Prepare technical accounting position papers and memos, align interpretations with auditors, and support audit resolution.

- Perform and review impairment assessments and implementation of new or amended IFRS standards.

- Drive IFRS capability building through training sessions, quarterly technical updates, and maintenance of the group accounting policy manual.

Country & Stakeholder Interface

- Act as a key interface with country finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.

- Review entity-level financials for quality, consistency, and standardisation across the group.

- Resolve complex accounting, reporting, and disclosure matters in collaboration with regional and country controllers.
